Considering that three cities in California are now discussing or are in the midst of bankruptcy, what is going to happen to Reno, Nevada? The current budget of the City of Reno is balanced, according to reports from the local newspaper, the Reno Gazette Journal. But, at the heart of the ‘Biggest Little City in the World’, there are problems. In various ‘shopping plazas’ and the local mall, there are empty ‘pads’, those places where businesses were. The businesses here vary from manufacturing to retail. The main money maker is the tourism and gaming. Many casinos have struggled over the years and many have gone completely bust. Now, in the midst of the biggest recession in history, as well as the biggest tax hike in history, the question still remains What Is Happening In Reno, Nevada?
